mine is "big bang theory".. i love that show!

i wouldn't have probably looked at it as a jw.

Refreshing thought on God's forgiveness

this is for those struggling with disfellowshipping from the society.. we have been going to church more lately.

i really enjoy the message of love compared to the doom and gloom of the society.. i wanted to share this thought after watching a family member go through disfellowshipping and shunning.

the things that the society inflicted on this person were done with vicious intent.

the thread on creepiest things at the door got me to thinking about the field service.. when i was having my initial doubts, and keeping up with "theocratic" requirements was hard (we had a new born and a two year old diagnosed with asthma which had us in the hospital several times, and only one vehicle), i had mine broken.. i can't really remember what the man said.

he was angry and took out all of his frustrations on me.

i had never been so abused before.

JW's feel God will destroy all those involved with the military, but when a crisis hits and they come to the rescue, they become a Godsend.

just had to laugh and shake my head today.. hubby's cousin, an ex-jw too, keeps in touch really well with his folks who are still in.

they moved south to kentucky to where the need was greater along with some others from our old congregation.

one couple, very well loved and sweet as pie, moved to south america to where the need was great again.. recently, the husband, was attacked and beaten nearly to death.

have you ever noticed, or noticed it in yourself, that when you see a product with a scriptural quote, it was avoided, unless it was made by a jw company?

i remember my mom coming over and on a bag of potato chips, they quoted a scripture on the back of a bag.

she picked it up and said something to the effects of it being terrible.

Remember the "last warning for Babylon the Great" WT series of four?

i remember a series of four watchtowers that we "zealously" placed to issue the "final warning to babylon the great".

they all had pictures (if i remember correctly) of the harlot in revelation.

i think the pictures were all taken from the revelation climax book.

Mistaking another child for your own while shopping!

we were out shopping tonight, buying a new bunk bed for our son.

while we were there, we had the kids trying out the beds, they were laying on them and we were moving between two beds to compare, and i thought our daughter was still laying on the first one.

i saw a child her size, same hair length and similar color, and just "assumed" it was her because she had just been lying there.
